Another Great Taste
On October 2, ESAC’s 19th Annual Taste of Jamaica Plain brought a buoyant crowd of more than 250 people to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall to sample the cuisine of 18+ restaurants. With its new central location, the Taste proved once again to be a great spot for friends to gather and enjoy delicious food from around the community. The hall was transformed with vibrant fabrics and huge food themed balloons, and the festive mood was enhanced by the warm rhythms of the Camelia Latin Jazz Trio.
The Grass Fed burger bar – new this year – proved a huge hit with the crowd. The kids feasted on Whole Foods’ mac and cheese, Fiore’s cupcake bar, and of course JP Licks’ ice cream. Face painters, and walk around magicians provided entertainment for young and old. The Silent Auction, 50/50 raffle, and Boston Beer samples provided further diversions.
Thanks to the many restaurants who participated, to our project sponsors who supported the event, and to our community volunteers, especially Stephen Lussier of Arborview Realty and the Meridian school faculty and students! Thanks also to everyone who came and supported ESAC’s programs – which allow us to continue our work to Ensure Stability through Action in the Community!
